Dark red and full colour to the edge. All spice and brooding dark fruit. Rich cassis, cinnamon and cloves towards the finish. Dark juicy fruit on entry. Broad spicy cherries and dark fruit with a decadent mid palate, full bodied with hints of ripe strawberries. The finish is dry, rich and full.

During the blending process, great care was taken to follow the house style of Saboteur, which is increasingly building up a huge following, i.e. bold fruit, good spice and soft tannins. The blend this year is 57% Shiraz, 20% Mourvédre, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Grenache Noir. The Grenache Noir is from the 2018 vintage which lifts the freshness and redfruit spectrum of this wine.

Bottled under a crown cap, this is a well-made, harmonious blend of mostly Mourvèdre
and Syrah with 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. Supple, plush and textured, with
perfumed 30% new wood, rosemary and wild pepper top notes and plum and bramble fruit.

Very impressed with this wine. Totally agree with the winemakers notes regarding the savoury wood flavours on the nose - a deep & dark fruited but balanced display on the palate. Great structure.
