This mixed case brings together two bold varietals from La Poderosa: a plush Merlot and a richly‑fruited Malbec. Perfect for sharing with friends, stocking your cellar or pairing with a hearty feast.
Merlot (3 bottles)
Colour: Deep ruby.
Nose: A delicious black‑cherry bouquet, with hints of damson and plums.
Palate: Rounded and supple, with intense plum and damson fruit flavours leading into a soft, lingering finish.
Food pairing: Ideal with red meats, tomato‑based dishes and hard cheese.
Malbec (3 bottles)
Colour: Intense red‑violet.
Nose: Enticing cherry and plum‑jam aromas, underpinned by a delicate touch of vanilla.
Palate: Soft, medium‑bodied and round, the palate delivers juicy plums and black cherry, with a subtle note of black pepper and spice towards the finish.
Food pairing: Super with grilled or braised red meats, as well as rich vegetarian fare and mature cheeses.
Serving & Storage Tips
Serve at around 16‑18 °C for both varietals to enjoy their full fruit expression.
Decant the Malbec for 15‑20 minutes if possible, to open up the spice and peppery notes.
The Merlot is approachable now, but both wines will reward gentle ageing up to ~5 years under proper conditions (cool, dark, humidity‑controlled).
