Grape Variety

81.5% Chardonnay, 7.8% Pinot Blanc, 5.7% Pinot Noir, 3.1% Schonburger, 1.2% Pinot Meunier, 0.7% Siegerrebe.

Vineyards

Fruit is sourced from vineyards in Kent (90%), Essex (7%) and East Sussex (3%).

Grapes are grown predominantly on single and double guyot pruning systems, on varied soils including, chalk, clay and loam soils.

Winemaking

Fruit is whole-bunch pressed and vinified in stainless steel at cool temperatures to retain aromatic delicacy. The wine was blended, clarified and bottled in March 2022.

Tasting Notes

Chapel Down Flint Dry is a fragrant white wine with aromas of green apple, citrus and kiwi fruit. The palate is dry and crisp with flavours of pear and melon which lead to a refreshing finish.

Serving Suggestion

Ideal as an aperitif or enjoy with white meats, seafood or salad.
