Tasting Note
Flattering nose with an appealing palette of fruity aromas blackcurrant, redcurrant, plum. Fleshy and balanced on the palate with oaked notes and a pleasing finish. This wine is a fine match for roasted or grilled meats, poultry, vegetables and mild cheeses.
The Winery
Our Bourgogne Pinot Noir « Vieilles Vignes » (old vines) is produced with vines aged between 25 to 35 years old in the Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits areas, on clay-and-limestone soils. The diverse exposure and altitude of these areas allow us to craft this mosaic of vineyard parcels, producing the beautiful complexity of this wine. The venerable age of the vines gives this wine a special aromatic concentration, frank and characteristic flavours which are regularly acknowledged at prestigious contests. It is in Burgundy where the Pinot Noir varietal was born and became a synonym for elegance and finesse throughout the world. The selection and vinification of grapes from two sub-regions enable a diversity of terroirs and consequently of characteristics which are found transposed within the aromatic complexity of this wine.

"So great to be able to receive a regular delivery of good wine rather than the usual 12 bottle case sold by most 'wine clubs' "
- Terry Wharton Hood -
